Take the Stairs

Target Audience: LYNX employees.

Strategy Objective:With an agency wide effort to promote health and wellness, the Take the Stairs campaign was developed to encourage LYNX employees to become more active and consider taking the stairs. Vinyl wraps were placed on elevators throughout all LYNX facilities featuring "Did You Know?" facts. Magnet signs were also placed outside of each stairwell to help identify stairs and motivate employees.

Situation Challenge: It is a challenge to motivate employees to stay active when the majority of the workforce spends their day sitting at a desk or in an operator's seat. The "Take the Stairs" campaign was created as a way to get people to take the stairs and be healthy.

Results Impact: The campaign created more awareness about where the stairs are located and the health benefits employees can experience. Employees reported to the LYNX Wellness Coordinator that they have incorporated using the stairs as a result of the campaign. The costs associated with the campaign vinyl and magnets totaled $700.
