Tri-Rail "Respect the Rails" Safety Poster for Palm Beach County Schools

Target Audience: Tri-Rail's train safety poster targeted Palm Beach County elementary, middle and high school students.

Strategy Objective:To promote SFRTA/Tri-Rail's commitment to public safety, Tri-Rail collaborated with community leaders and local officials from school and law enforcement to encourage rail safety on or near the tracks and at visibly marked railroad crossings. As part of a more comprehensive safety initiative called "Respect the Rails," the poster was designed, printed and distributed to schools in Palm Beach County encouraging children to be safe at railroad tracks and crossings.

Situation Challenge: To address growing public concerns regarding deaths at railroad crossings in South Florida, there was a pressing need to raise awareness about rail safety practices.

Results Impact: - 100 posters are on display at 14 schools - Potential reach of 21,000+ students

Why Submit: This entry is deserving of an AdWheel Award because it successfully reached the intended audience by promoting train safety to our most vulnerable demographics -- children. With safety being a top priority, it can potentially help to save a life.
