Opera on a Bus

Target Audience: LYNX bus riders.

Strategy Objective:The objective of the performance was to surprise passengers with a unique experience to enhance their trip. LYNX Board Member and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer also joined in the fun and hopped on the bus at City Hall to enjoy the performance. The opera was broadcast on Facebook Live.

Situation Challenge: Opera Del Sol, a breakout immersive production company with a mission to change the way people experience opera, partnered with LYNX to produce a popup performance on a LYNX bus. The performance was part of the agency's 25th anniversary celebration.

Results Impact: The event was covered by 7 media outlets. It also produced 3,900 views, 51 shares, 69 comments, 136 reactions and had a reach of nearly 10,000 fans on Facebook.

Why Submit: The popup performance offered riders a unique experience that has never been done on a LYNX bus before. Passengers were so surprised and excited about the performance that riders on the bus passed up their stop to continue listening to the opera.
